Run the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON
with Dreams for Veterans

Recognised as one of the most famous races across the globe, the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON boasts spectacular views, with a flat course running through the historic capital with famous sites including the Brandenburg Gate. Part of the Abbott World Marathon Majors, this event has played host to several world records but with its optimum running conditions, it’s perfect for beginners and elite runners alike.

Run 26.2 miles (42.2 kilometers) through cheering crowds in an experience you’ll remember for the rest of your life.

Run with the Dream Challenge Team and help raise funds for Dreams for Veterans, a program of Dream Foundation.

Help make the final Dreams of terminally-ill U.S. military veterans, active service members, and members of the Reserve and National Guard come true.

Berlin Runner, Winter

WINTER

I was a flight medic in Iraq and Afghanistan, so when I ran by the pictures of the fallen in the Marine Corps Marathon, it was tough remembering the patients we could not save. They are heroes in my heart always, and I feel fortunate to raise funds for other heroes in their last days.

ADA

I am a palliative care social worker with the Department of Veterans Affairs VA and work closely with veterans who have been diagnosed with terminal illnesses. So many of the people I see have expressed that their life has become just one doctor visit after another and feel that there can be little to look forward to. The Dream Foundation provides hope and an opportunity to look forward to something that they thought was not possible. It is amazing to see how just discussing the Dream Foundation can bring a big smile to a veteran’s face. It gives them hope!

I have gone on to assist many veterans in completing applications for Dreams. These Dreams included reuniting family members, renewed wedding vows in Hawaii, a first trip to an amusement park and a trip to the Grand Canyon.

Assisting veterans in completing a Dream Foundation application is the best part of my job.

Dreams for Veterans helps terminally-ill veterans with Dreams that provide joy, comfort or closure at the end of life.

The average cost of a Dream is $2,500—and every dollar counts.

Like many other veterans facing the end of life, U.S. Air Force and Vietnam veteran John dreamed of paying his respects to those who did not come home.

U.S. Army veteran Darrell wanted to see his young family smile again.

Many veterans at the end of life need essential items. U.S. Marine Arlon needed clothes.
